Touch Membran

​

The touch membrane is very sensitive and should always be kept away from sharp objects and sand. Smartphone displays do not work, as many assume, through pressure, but through the electrical conductivity of the fingers. Therefore it is not possible to use the display under water. All settings that are needed for the recordings have to be set above water.

Dome-Glass

​

The Dome-Glass is the heart of the Domemare. With it it is possible to do the split shots. Therefore, you should protect the glass from scratches and always keep it in a protective cover when you are not using it. Your Domemare will be shipped with foam modules. These modules are ideal for protecting your dome and can be securely enclosed with a rubber band supplied. So don´t throw them away and always pack your dome with them when you´re on the go. Also, make sure that no moisture gets into the entire dome housing, otherwise the glass could fog up. If you break or scratch the dome glass, you can change it by loosening the screws. Make sure that the sealing ring is properly seated and that all screws are tightened again. If you have loosened the screws to change them, Domemare accepts no liability for any water damage. Therefore, test the dome without the phone for water resistance after changing. Be very careful when cleaning the glass. Some utensils can cause small scratches. We recommend cleaning the glass with washing-up liquid to remove fingerprints or water stains.

A few tips to use

​

• In order to operate your smartphone in the case without any problems, it is important, if you have not already set it, that your display comes on by touching the display. So change this in your settings. With some phones you have to press an on / off button on the side to activate the display. In the water you have no way to press this button.

• Some smartphones now have the wide-angle, Portrait and Slow-Mo Mode in their cameras. Try it out for yourself and you find out what you like most.

• As you can see, the smartphone case and the handles are connected with two lines. The area between the lines should give you a rough estimate in the water that your camera has the waterline in the center of the picture.

• Always pay attention to where the sun is. In unfavorable sunlight, your smartphone can be reflected in the dome glass.

• There are various ways to prevent water droplets on the dome glass:

1. Submerge your domemare under water again and again until no more water drops can be seen on the glass.

2. In order to achieve the lotus effect that the water rolls off the dome surface, you can either rub the outside of the dome glass with a sliced raw potato or spray the glass with a special anti-water droplet gel

Now you can start

​

Our goal was to make the application as easy as possible for you. After you have taken your Domemare out of the packaging, your Domemare is ready to use in just four easy steps:

​

1. Open the smartphone dome housing by loosen the screws

2. Place your smartphone in the case with the camera first. Position your smartphone on the black mat so that the camera has a clear field of view.

3. Close the smartphone case and seal it by tighten the screws. The housing must no longer open by itself.

4. No we come to the final part. To get the perfect pictures under water, pictures can be either taken with the timer. You start, for example, a 3 or 10 second photo timer over water to get the shot under water. Most smartphones take several pictures per second in the self-timer function. So you can then choose the best picture. Or you start a video recording over water and later cut your favorite picture out of the video.

• The Domemare has been designed and tested extensively for its water resistance to protect your smartphone from any water damage. It is therefore your responsibility to seal your Domemare waterproof immediately before use. Domemare accepts no liability for incorrect use of the dome.

• The Domemare can withstand a water depth of up to 10 meters. Don't try to dive deeper.

• We know you love the sandy beach as much as we do. However, we expressly point out that the Domemare must not come into contact with sand and stones. Sand and stones can scratch the dome, the touch membrane and your smartphone. In addition, sand can cause the dome to no longer be waterproof. Always cover your dome when you are not in water.

• Always clean the outside of your Domemare with clear, fresh water right after you've been in salt water.

• Please do not throw your Domemare around or jump into the water with it!

 

Ready to go into the water and discover new horizons

It is recommended to test the water resistance of the Domemare without a smartphone before the first use. This way you can check whether you are using the dome correctly. (If water enters the domemare during the first test, make sure that the flap is properly closed. If water continues to enter, do not try to go into the water with your smartphone. Domeglass cleaner with lotus effect

​

Before you use the cleaner, we need to make you aware of a few important things.

​

• Keep out of reach of CHILDREN

• Avoid skin and eye contact. If the product gets into your eyes, rinse them thoroughly with water.

• Do not swallow. If the product has been swallowed, consult a doctor.

• Do not dispose of in the environment.

Application note:

Remove the lid and spread the glass cleaner on the dome glass with a few sprays. Leave the glass cleaner on the glass for 3-5 minutes and, if necessary, wipe it off very carefully with a clean cleaning cloth. Glasses cleaning cloths are ideal for wiping without leaving a trace. The last residues can easily be washed off under the tap. Be sure to wash your dome under the tap, not in a lake, river, or sea.
